The Careers Service at Agricultural University in Krakow was set up for the purpose of helping our students and graduates to plan their careers and easing difficulties in finding appropriate employment. It was officially opened in February 2003.
We help:
- students and graduates looking for career guidance and information about the employment market .
- We provide the students of all the university departments with different workshops to help them write CVs, covering letters and application forms, we demonstrate different methods used in selection procedures and help them prepare for interviews with prospective employers. We enable students to plan their careers and also prepare for their first interview with an employer, offering a wide variety of information about companies , in the form of leaflets, annual reports, brochures, company magazines and journals. We are keen to receive as much information as we can from employers.
- We can also help students to find information about summer jobs and part time jobs.
- Moreover, we collect extensive and detailed information about postgraduate studies, special courses, both at home and abroad, and also about scholarships and funds that would enable a student to cover all the expenses of studying abroad.
- employers looking for the best candidates for their vacancies. By:
- gathering job offers and information about companies, procedures and policies of graduate recruitment, internship programmes and summer jobs;
- candidate preselection for specific vacancies. The information provided by employers together with the identification of students' and graduates' skills and potential are the basis for their further matching in such a way that it will enable the candidates to find the most suitable posts and to develop all their abilities. Employers can expect us to recommend the best applicants and arrange interviews. If needed we can present a list of registered job seekers to a specific job offer.
- organizing employers' presentation at the University for senior students. Presentations are an excellent opportunity for employers to raise the best students' interest, and to make a powerful impression of a company on them. Companies who plan to employ graduates or organize students internship can meet students to inform them about their future recruitment plans.
- organizing spring job fairs in the University. Job fairs are an important event for final year students from all faculties of the Agricultural and for employers who have an opportunity to meet students.
